Hello, my name Is Juliana Astorga I am a sophomore at Farragut Career Academy
To receive the Medal of Honor is an honor because you get considered or remembered as a true hero even thought solders don’t considers themselves as true heroes they are because they risk their life to save others not for receiving the medal of Honor but because you cared.


The Medal of Honor can mean different thing to many different people, like sacrifice bravery and being courageous. For me The Medal of Honor means been a human be being because to put someone before you no matter if you life is in danger or to save their life is what humans do.

Being rewarded The Medal of Honor is a decoration that the government gives to those solders that perform an individual act of bravery like saving the life of a person or even more than one person risking there own life or doing an extremely courageous act that stands out.

Many soldiers appreciate receiving the Medal of Honor but for some of them its not easy to wear it because they think they don’t deserve or that there are other solders that do deserve reserving it more than them like this statement was said "Sometimes I think it was easier winning the Congressional Medal of Honor than it is to wear it". Another reason why I think they say its easier to win it than to wear Is because some solders lost their life while doing whatever act earn them the Medal of Honor.

You are a truly inspiration to me not because of what you did but for your courageous acts all I have to tell you is thank you for all you did
